Things to do

We feel incredibly lucky to be living in one of the U.K's most diverse Counties, which covers stunning coastlines and breathtaking beaches alongside the South Downs National Park. From stately homes and castles to harbours and market towns, it makes the perfect holiday venue.

Surrounding Area

The Weald & Downland Museum near Goodwood hosts a unique collection of 50 relocated historical houses, over 40 acres. The popular TV programme The Repair Shop is filmed there in 17th Century Court Barn. A wonderful day out for all the family. You will also discover two successful vineyards close by; Ashling Park Estate and Tinwood Estate. They both offer Vineyard Tours with wine tasting and afternoon teas or if Gin is more your tipple, book a Gin Making Experience at Ashling Park Estate!

Activities

There are many interesting and scenic marinas and harbours all along our coast. They accommodate short term hire of yachts and boats for leisure and racing at various events, to include The Fastnet Race, which starts at Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

In contrast, there’s a local Gliding School with flights, where the gliders are continually towed and fly over the countryside and out over the coast as well as our local airfield at Goodwood, which hosts venues and events where spitfires and hurricanes fly on a regular basis throughout the season.
