Barton Manor is situated in a perfect position for you to explore the rich and wonderful biodiversity of the surrounding area.  Walking and cycling will give you access to the wonderful countryside of the South Downs, but do you know that you are close to the Selsey Bill and The Hounds Marine Conservation Zone where there is a rich and varied marine world waiting to be discovered?

At Mulberry Marine Experiences we are passionate about helping you to explore the marine world on the land and in water. We have a range of activities that you can enjoy during your stay as an individual, couple or family. Let our fully qualified professional team introduce to the marine residents and the rich marine heritage on our shores.

Marine Life Walks – these are fully guided ecology walks led by a Marine Ecology Instructor. Over the course of 1.5 hours your guide will talk to you about the marine residents, show you where to find them, and talk about the issues that they face. We have walks at several locations around Selsey each offering something different. The walks also support our Ecology programmes so every step you take is helping with our projects. Walks £15 per person.

Private Marine Life Walks – we keep all our groups small but if you would prefer a personal experience, we are pleased to offer private guided walks and talks. You will have the option to come across to Selsey or we can come to Pagham, it is your walk, you decide. Private Walks from £45.

Snorkel Tours – If you like to be on the water and want to see more of the life then join us for a Guided Snorkel Tour. All our tours are led by a qualified Snorkel Instructor. We include all the equipment that you need, and you get to keep the mask and snorkel. Discover sunbathing prawns and blennies, colourful anemones, crabs, and fish. Your Instructor will make sure you comfortable and tell you all about the life you are seeing. If you want to build your confidence so you are ready to explore on your own, then consider our Snorkel Diver Course. Snorkel Tours are £55 per person

Ecology Family Activity Day – If you want to make the most of your day exploring the marine world then this experience offers something for everyone. It includes a guided marine life walk, picnic lunch from the wonderful Potters, a snorkel diver course with guided tour. The price includes all equipment, lunch, snorkel diver course with recognition and fun!!! Bring the cameras to capture the day. Price is dependent on group size but is £200 for a family of four.
